We managed to make it to Swan Oyster Depot recently and after an 80-minute wait, snagged prime seats, and had some wonderful, fresh seafood and good service. Go for the smoked salmon; we almost decided to take some home.

Everything is better with prosciutto


Sunday brunch at Ad Hoc started with a summer watermelon and prosciutto salad with kalamata olives. Main course was chipped beef on brioche toast with scrambled hen eggs, sauteed spinach, and fried smashed potatoes (all of which was good, the potatoes were stellar). We ended with a brownie with house-made mint chocolate chip ice cream.
